The house is quite large, especially the basement, but the layout is odd. It has four bedrooms with two double beds, a single bed, another double bed, and three futons, plus three bathrooms, one on the ground floor and two downstairs. Only three bedrooms have air conditioning; the fourth gets air from a vent in another room. There’s no Wi-Fi, but there is a shared kitchen, toilets, and a riverside pavilion. It’s an old house, so the floors creak and you can hear people in the basement from the attic. It’s more or less clean, though bugs get in when it rains. The owner seems to have renovated an old home a bit and started renting it out. It’s somewhat secluded, so getting around isn’t very convenient. Could work well for a big group wanting a large house without paying for an overpriced pool villa.

It gets chilly at night, then warms up beautifully during the day. The setting is peaceful, with a steady river current, and the staff are very nice. There are quite a few places to go nearby, though it’s so lovely here you might not feel like leaving.

You’ll need your own transport, since there’s literally nothing within walking distance. The place is peaceful, but very basic and run down. The blankets were worn out and the water heater didn’t work. Our friends paid half as much for a small hotel near Robinson Lifestyle at Kanchanaburi that was better built and better quality. Our only consolation was that our business was at the UK university, which was closer to us.

There are trees and open space by the river, making for a peaceful setting, and the rooms are in wooden houses. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom, though it’s private and right next door.
