For the price, you get a lot. The walls are solid, the wooden furniture and beds feel sturdy, and there are CCTV cameras. The small dipping pool is clean, with plenty of room to sunbathe. There aren’t restaurants on site, but food places surround it. Parking, though, is very limited. I’m giving five stars for the value, not because this is a five-star hotel. It’s two or three stars at best, but the price gives a good return.

I’ve been here several dozen times. The other places I like cost twice as much, while similarly priced options have thin walls. Here, one building is a refurbished wooden house and the other has concrete walls, which matters for keeping noise down. The pool is cute and mostly private, and looks down onto the river. Honestly, for the price, it’s the best place.

There’s a swimming pool and views over the river. The location is good: 1.8 km to the railway bridge, a 12-minute walk to or from the railway station, and walkable to the museum and cemetery. The 7-11 is 100 meters away.

The back area has a swimming pool looking out over the River Kwai. It’s a central spot for bars, shops, and places to eat. It’s not luxury, and I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but for around 13 quid a night, the value can’t be beaten.

The staff are what make this guest house stand out. They're always welcoming, friendly, and seem genuinely glad to see you. I've stayed here many times, and the clean pool overlooking the river is usually quiet, with hardly anyone else around. There are two room types, one a little cheaper than the other. I absolutely love this place.
