The 28th Hotel

Across from Robinsons, so the location is convenient. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, and breakfast was pleasant, with a range of choices.

The bed made the night miserable. Its plastic cover trapped my body heat, and the synthetic duvet didn’t regulate temperature well. I spent the night sweating and then freezing. Unless they replace the mattress and duvet or blanket, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. That’s a shame, because the modern rooms were clean and comfortable otherwise. The pool is nice, the view from the rooms is great, and breakfast is fantastic. There’s a very good restaurant and a nice massage place within walking distance, but you probably need a car to stay here. The staff are great.

Robinsons is opposite the hotel, and the place is nice and good value. The reception staff and people in general were very friendly. But two breakfast buffet staff, a tall man and an older woman, refused to make me an omelette. My wife asked a third staff member, who was happy to make one and was polite about it. I don’t know why the first two made it an issue, but it spoiled my mood, so I can’t give five stars for service.

The breakfast buffet has a Western section with toast, cereal, fruit, and juice, plus a Thai station with great dishes that change daily. I think the chef is from Issan because the flavors really stand out. My room was spacious, and the bed was firm but comfortable. I usually sleep on memory foam, but slept well here. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, and made me feel at home. Robinson Lifestyle Mall is right across the street, and downtown is just a few minutes away. Great views of either the mall or the hills.
