The Campster

We had a great time at The Campster-Kanchanaburi, and would happily return. The setting is wonderfully quiet, with greenery and natural views all around, which gave us a proper break from city life. Staff made us feel at home from arrival and were warm and helpful throughout. There was plenty to do. We swam in the clean, refreshing pool, went kayaking among the scenery, and rode bikes around the area. The food and drinks were tasty, and we found the prices affordable for the quality and portion sizes. It was convenient to have good meals right there. Our accommodation was cozy, and the shared areas and other facilities were clean and well looked after. It worked well for relaxing, spending time with family or friends, and enjoying nature. Great service and good value, too.

There are two restroom blocks, one by the cafe and another near the outdoor movie area, and the bathrooms are clean. The campground is tidy and feels safe. You can drive up to unload at your site, then leave the car in the parking lot. Each site has air conditioning. Food and drinks are available at the cafe from morning until night. Breakfast is a buffet with indoor and outdoor seating, and dinner is ordered from the menu outside, with live music. The meals feel professionally run, much like a hotel. Kayaks and fishing rods are available, and there's a pool the little kids love. Adults can grab an ice cold beer, and there are board games for children, free wifi across the grounds, and evening campfires with s'mores. It's glamping, so you get the fun without as much roughing it. The river is easy to get to.

It's a memorable spot for a weekend in Kanchanaburi, especially if you'd like a nature break with a different kind of accommodation. The Campster Kanchanaburi has a lovely riverside setting, stylish tents and camper-style rooms, a pool, and lots of scenery for photos. We found it fun and relaxing, and it could suit couples, families, or anyone looking for a peaceful escape. If you're after full luxury or the convenience of being in the city, a traditional resort may suit you better.

We really didn't want to leave. The Campster was one of the nicest places we've stayed, with superb cleanliness and plenty to do for a few days. It's tucked out of the way, which suited us. Our tent was great, with air conditioning and a very comfortable bed, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Such a good experience, we'd love to come back. Highly recommend.
