U Inchantree Kanchanaburi

The garden setting was a real highlight for me, and the spacious, well-designed room made the stay comfortable. Being by the river was peaceful, with easy access to TMK Mall and the River Kwai Bridge. Having a station serving the hotel was another plus. Our partner driver and guide, Nong, was amazing. Their English was conversational, and they looked after each visitor with care and personal attention. Hotel staff were friendly and respectful too. On our first and last day, the butler, Songkan, hurried out to carry our bags with a big smile. His personality was infectious and added a lot to an already positive stay. Breakfast had very good quality and variety. The team kept topping up dishes as they ran low and were ready to help. There were some communication challenges because some staff don’t speak English. Getting information or making changes could be difficult at times, so I’d suggest researching and arranging bookings or amendments by email in advance. We managed fine most of the time, and it’s not fair to expect every staff member to speak English, but tourists may want to know. Room service and restaurant prices felt a bit high. Mango sticky rice was 9 USD, and side dishes were 10+ USD, which seemed costly for Kanchanburi. That takes half a star off for me. Still, it was a very good stay, and I’d consider coming back to Kan.

Everyone on staff was so kind, and breakfast was lovely. The hotel sits right on the River Kwai, in a great spot about a 10 minute walk from the famous bridge. My only small complaints were the size of room 104, which had nowhere to unpack clothes and not enough floor space to open two cases at once, and the water, which was only lukewarm during our stay.

We came for my husband’s birthday and had such an amazing, relaxing trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they had set up the room with a welcome cake for him. We’d definitely come back ❤️❤️

The infinity pool has a lovely view over the river, and the location is great. The rooms are lovely too, though that enormous bed makes it a bit tricky to get around. Food and service were very good. A great choice if you’re in town to see the ww2 history and waterfalls.
