Good Nakhonsawan Hotel

The breakfast is worth having: you can order egg dishes and there’s also a breakfast line. The place is pet friendly, and they have sulcata tortoises and cute ducklings to enjoy. The hotel has clearly paid attention to all the little details. Though it’s not in the CBD, the location makes for a really relaxing stay. The room was clean. You might hear some noise now and then, but it wasn’t annoying. A good place to recharge body and soul, I recommend it.

The rooms are modern, spacious, and great, and breakfast is fresh with lots to choose from. For the hotel’s size and price, it’s a good breakfast. The reception staff were my main issue. No smiles, no hello, just suspicious, unhappy faces and a focus on payment. We felt unwelcome. Maybe the hotel doesn’t want to cater to non Asians, but I’m not sure. If there’s one thing they should improve, it’s the reception staff’s expressions.

The staff were welcoming, and there was plenty of parking, but I wouldn’t stay at Good Nakhonsawan again. The room was a letdown: the bed was uncomfortable, the bedside shelves were tiny, and the little clothes rack wobbled so much I was afraid to use it. The sink was squeezed beside the entrance, and the shower was cramped. Water spread across the bathroom floor because it didn’t drain well. The phone was tucked behind the TV, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. I know some guests have left positive reviews, but this wasn’t for me.

The pool is a nice bonus, and the rooms are roomy, bright, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast and the overall value for money were good too. It’s a little way from the city center, though. A Grab bike gets you sorted.
