TAKKA Hotel

A clean hotel and a good option near BTS Udom Suk, even for staying a couple of extra days. Just make sure your room doesn’t face the street.

The room wasn’t spacious, but there was enough room for two people and three pieces of luggage. They provide drinking water freely, and there’s a microwave and utensils, which was really useful for budget travelers like us. No bad smell or bed bugs, and the noise was okay and bearable. Our nine nights at Takka were great, and it was really worth staying here.

The room was very clean, but getting earplugs with the key pretty much says it all. It’s hard to sleep without them. My wife can’t wear earplugs and wasn’t happy. I can sleep through a freight train, literally, but even I found it loud.

The room was roomy and worked well, and there’s plenty of local food around Udomsuk BTS. It’s also an affordable spot close to the station. But the road-facing Superior room was incredibly loud from traffic and the BTS. They give you a pair of earplugs, though in my experience this may be Bangkok’s noisiest room. Make sure you can sleep with a lot of noise.
