The pictures don’t show how lovely the place really is. The bungalows are pretty, the pool is nice and very clean, and breakfast is great. The staff were helpful, though they could smile more. We thought they might be shy and wanted to respect our privacy. The restaurant is very expensive, but there’s a smaller, more affordable place farther along the same beach.

I only came for the day, travelling by boat from Lanta old town, rather than staying here. The beach was beautiful, and I had a very nice experience.

The location makes this resort special: it’s on the downwind side, so there are fewer waves, the beach is empty much of the day, and diving is great. The resort is the only one along the whole beach. At low tide there are no tourist boats for a few hours, so you can enjoy the paradise peacefully. Because the tide changes, arrange longtail boat pickup with the hotel one or two days before you arrive or leave. The rooms have been renovated and are well kept, with daily cleaning, as are the grounds. Food costs a little more than on the other side of the island, but the quality is better. Breakfast is also better than at other island resorts. There’s a jungle path to the other side of the island, highly recommended if you’re adventurous. There’s also a “bar” midway along the beach, which we recommend for evening seafood barbecue.

We had a really relaxing four-night stay at Paradise beach resort. The beach was beautiful and calm, and the snorkelling was great about 200 metres offshore. Our room looked new and was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and clean too. The beach restaurant had a good range of dishes, all nice; prices were a bit higher than at other restaurants but still okay. We had a fantastic stay.

We found our way back to this beach after visiting last winter, when we stayed at Coco village on the main beach and did a short jungle trek on the other side. Back then Paradise Beach resort was shut and abandoned, almost apocalyptic 😎. This time it had reopened, and we were glad to see it. The beach is very quiet, with just a small resort, and the nights are amazing. The coral reef still feels wild and is great for snorkeling, so bring your own gear. There are no shops on the island, though you can get good food and drinks, so bring whatever else you might need before boarding the boat. We'd already spent 2.5 months island hopping, and this island has a vibe of its own: no scooters, loud bush sounds, and a big dependence on the tides, which means fewer crowds. It gave us a different kind of Thai experience.
