Andaman Cannacia Resort & Spa

Kata Beach was one of the highlights for us: wide, clean, turquoise, and full of atmosphere. We walked down the hotel path to town in about 5 minutes, then it was around 2 minutes more to the beach. We didn’t use the shuttle. Restaurants, cafes, shops, and nightlife around Kata are close by. Our room at Andaman Cannacia Resort & Spa had a stunning sea view, one of the best I’ve seen from a hotel. Waking up to the turquoise bay and watching sunsets from the balcony was unforgettable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with elegant decor and subtle Thai touches. The large balcony made the most of the setting, and housekeeping kept everything spotless. The hillside location gives the resort panoramic views over Kata Beach. Its pool has several levels and lots of greenery, making it a peaceful tropical spot to relax by the ocean. Breakfast offered a good range of choices before heading out. From arrival, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional. Check-in was smooth, and we felt looked after at breakfast, by the pool, and whenever we had questions. Their hospitality made the stay feel personal. We had a perfect stay and would gladly return for the views, comfortable rooms, pool, service, and easy access to the area.

The staff were fantastic, and breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable, while the pool area and views over Kata Beach were stunning. The hotel sits on a steep hill, but there’s a free shuttle, and taxis are cheap if you can’t manage the walk. I’ll definitely stay again.

We booked three rooms for our family, and the service was extremely disappointing. Before arriving, we confirmed the booking and one extra bed. The hotel approved it by phone and in writing through Booking.com, saying the quoted price was the total. But the room wasn’t set up as agreed, and we were told there’d be an extra charge anyway. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly. Dirty sheets were put back on the beds, and our rooms were always cleaned last, so we were often left without toilet paper, towels, or fresh bedding. Housekeeping also tended to come around 5:00 pm, just as we were getting ready for dinner. More than once, cleaners entered after knocking even when we asked them to wait a moment so we could get dressed. It was uncomfortable and unacceptable. This stay fell well below an acceptable standard of hospitality, and we wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

The check-in was quick, and I really appreciated being upgraded. My room was clean and spacious, with a lovely partial ocean view. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They left a wonderful birthday greeting on my bed and surprised me with a lovely fruit platter at breakfast on my birthday. I had a great stay.
