Aurico Kata Resort & Spa

We especially loved having direct access to the pool from our room. It made the stay feel extra relaxing, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, which made getting around easy. The staff were lovely, always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast had a nice range of choices, too. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this place.

We’ve stayed here every year since 2024, but this year’s holiday was a nightmare and will probably be our last. Our first-floor room had pool access, and the people above us were walking loudly and moving chairs all night. Cleaning staff rolled their trolley down the corridor through the night, too. I know rooms have to be cleaned, but they need quieter wheels on those tiles. On the first day, the towels didn’t feel clean or fresh, and the shower was quite dirty. The Wi-Fi was the most frustrating part. It showed a connection and signal, but nothing would upload, so it was useless for work or anything else. Before, it felt worth the drive from the airport. Now it definitely doesn’t.

We were travelling as a family of three with our one-year-old, and the staff nicknamed him “baby tomato.” That little touch made the stay even more special. They were attentive and friendly throughout, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel welcome as a young family. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding, and the air conditioning worked perfectly in the Phuket heat. The pool area was kept clean and pleasant, and the hotel’s food and snacks were very good. Prices for food and drinks on site were reasonable, so we could relax by the pool without heading out all the time. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

There are lots of shops and restaurants outside, including 7Elevens, plenty of halal restaurants nearby, and the beach is an easy walk away. We went for our honeymoon in the second week of January, and would come back. The night shift receptionist was friendly and suggested some Thailand snacks for my husband. We also had great service from the spa masseuse, and I really enjoyed the scrub :)
