Blu Pine Villa & Pool Access

Being able to step straight from the room into the pool was the best part, especially since the water wasn’t deep and worked well for the kids. The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was good. Kata beach is a comfortable ten minute walk away. We had a perfect time, thank you!

We spent the last five days of our two week Thailand trip here. The room was roomy and lovely, and the shared pool access was nice, though it isn’t private. We had the deep end outside our room, and when a boy was diving there, we asked him to move and he did without any trouble. Just something to know before booking. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the shops and beach. We rented scooters through the hotel for 250 b a day for four days, with only a 1000 b deposit, compared with about 3000 at other rentals. We’d recommend renting there. The staff were friendly and helpful, suggested cooking classes and restaurants for a birthday, and the pool bar was very good too.

The tropical villa suite was clean and comfortable for my five night stay, and breakfast offered a good range that changed each day. The staff were friendly when I started a conversation, but otherwise often didn’t acknowledge guests and were on their phones or chatting as people came and went. It could have used more of a personal touch. The toilet leaked onto the floor, and the leak got worse, though I could still use the bathroom. Checkout also felt odd: we had to wait for room service to inspect the room before we could leave.

The food was amazing, and the staff were very polite. They cleaned the room and changed the towels and sheets every day. Our pool access room was super quiet and secluded, and waking up and jumping straight into the water was hard to beat. The hotel feels like a resort away from the city, yet the beach is only a ten minute walk, or three minutes by bike. A couple of things were odd: no cheese at breakfast, and the shower heads couldn’t be adjusted. Aside from those, everything was 10/10. You can even stay in the pool at night. I’d definitely come back.
