Blue Palm Kata Resort

Blue Palm Kata Resort felt like home to us. The staff were wonderful, especially Ms. Nanny, who was so kind and lovely. The rooms were spotless, and sometimes looked surprisingly fresh when we came back. With all the beautiful plants around, the place has a peaceful feel. Everything is nearby, and if your flight is in the evening, the staff will let you stay comfortably until it’s time to leave. We loved our stay and will definitely choose this resort again. I’m sure it’s hard to find another one quite like it.

They cleaned the room every day, but breakfast really wasn’t good. The hotel is fairly budget-friendly and the concept is good, though the nearest beach is farther than it looks on the map. It’s really just okay as it is, and they’d need to improve a few things to earn five stars.

We got a great room, good Wi-Fi and a nice pool, all for a good price. The bungalow is very close to Kata beach, with lots of local restaurants nearby, including the famous karaoke place Poets. They even had my room ready at 12:30 pm.

The street is quiet and has restaurants at normal prices, plus several massage and laundry shops. A gym is just 20-30 meters away, and there’s a 7/11 right in front of the hotel. The rooms sit behind the staff building, which blocks street noise. Getting to the beach takes about 15-20 minutes on foot because a bigger hotel blocks the way, though the route is easy to follow. The rooms are bungalow-style, so they feel private and comfortable. They’re spacious, with a big bed and refreshing air conditioning. In the bathroom, one of the two light switches gives a softer light that works as a night light. Service was great. The staff are very friendly, and the cleaning ladies are around during the day and always smiling. They clean the room thoroughly when you ask, and leave two bottles of water after each cleaning. The front desk is always available and helpful. There’s also a very sweet dog roaming around who likes to steal flip-flops. You can avoid the dog, but keep it in mind if you don’t like dogs or have an allergy. For the price, you get a comfortable stay with everything you need, and I’d definitely recommend it to people visiting Kata beach.
