CC's Hideaway

I took a couple of spa massages, and the Thai herbal compress one was among the best I’ve ever had. The masseuse used great pressure and knew where to target, so it was worth the cost for me. I also enjoyed the fresh breakfast fruit, seabass, and daily smoothies, which were really fresh and delicious. The food had lots of options and I felt well fed. Extra items and alcoholic drinks are available to buy on site. I came alone but had a great time and even made new friends. The yoga retreat package was a bit pricey, but I liked that transfers, activities, and meals were included, and I could just drop in without planning ahead. The schedule is versatile and can keep you occupied if you want. It was a fun place to get away, and I could do what I wanted and hide away when I felt like it. The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels like a real hideaway. I barely left unless I joined a tour. The pool area was a great place to relax, and the rooftop yoga areas gave me a lovely environment to refocus. My room was comfortable, though being by the lobby meant I could hear it all the time. It wasn’t unbearable, but light sleepers should bring earplugs.

CC’s Hideaway is a lovely, distinctive place for unwinding and connecting. It isn’t a flashy five-star resort built around opulence, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing, memorable yoga retreat in Phuket. The staff made me feel at home from the moment I arrived, and I had an awesome stay with excellent food every day. The daily tours were fun, fabulous, and well planned. Nim and Hong were wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable guides, and a highlight of the trip. I loved the Thai cooking class with the talented, beautiful Chef Por, and Omi’s fragrance master-class was uplifting and special. Beach yoga with Bambi is an absolute must. I’m looking forward to trying David’s yoga classes next time.

The walls are a bit thin, so the rooms aren’t completely soundproof. Still, the professional, friendly staff spoke good English, and the property’s restaurant has excellent food with plenty of vegan options, though it is a bit expensive. The room quality impressed me, especially the thick, very comfortable bed and paintings by local Thai artists. From the outside, I thought I might have made a mistake because it didn’t look appealing, but upstairs the experience felt completely different. Definitely worth the money, and I’d happily recommend it.

The hill wasn’t a problem because there’s a shuttle bus to different points along the beach. The rooms were super spacious and still very nice, even if they aren’t brand new. It’s a bit far from the center, so I’d recommend it if that doesn’t bother you. The service was 10/10 from before I arrived, with constant updates, quick replies, and kind people. Food was nice overall, though the fish was a little dry. It is a bit pricey compared with other places, but you barely have to lift a finger, even when packing for a trip. They give you a basket with a towel, mat, food, drinks, and snorkel equipment. The 2,5h massage was superb.
