The location is okay, with Kata beach reachable and enough distance from the main road for a peaceful night’s sleep, but that doesn’t make up for the problems we had. There were bugs in the room, and the safe didn’t work when we arrived. The receptionist/owner said the battery could be changed the next day, so we had to carry our things with us that night. The bathroom and shower smelled strongly of mold or old standing water. When I turned on the shower, the head came off the wall and broke its holder, so we had to hold it while showering. The AC only works while the key is in the room, so coming back meant a disgustingly hot room. The insulation was poor, and the room wouldn’t stay cool after we left, so the AC had to blow on us all night. The receptionist also refused to give us a second key, even though the person sharing my room and I were splitting up. Something about the billing seemed sketchy: payment was under a bar on Bangala Road, and reviews we posted on Google about our stay disappeared a few days later. Do not book this place. If you already have, find a way to cancel at all costs.

I’d avoid this place. I booked and paid for two family rooms through Booking.com, and the reservation was confirmed right away. But when we arrived around 4 PM, reception was shut. The person I called told us to “wait for some time.” After about an hour outside, we were told the hotel was closed and asked to cancel the booking. The staff and management were very irresponsible.

The location was excellent, with everything close by. Kata Beach was a seven to eight minute walk. Nearby there was a good currency exchange, a great massage place, and a restaurant with oven baked pizza that also served breakfast. We were completely satisfied with our stay. The room was large and cleaned, with white linens and towels. There was always water, and two bottles were brought each day.
