The main issue was how the staff handled a missing item. The cleaner threw away a bottle from the cabinet beside the TV, though it wasn't rubbish. It was irreplaceable, since it isn't made anymore; its lid was a wine glass. When we returned from Phuket old town, the receptionist asked me to come back in the morning after speaking to the cleaner. The next day another receptionist basically called me a liar and denied the cleaner had thrown anything away. Why would I throw out something I'd owned for 10 years? The manager gave a half-hearted apology, said they had new cleaners and the rubbish had already been collected, then joked, “renew, renew, new things!” I can't renew an item that isn't made anymore. I was disgusted at being called a liar and at how little remorse they showed. I thought they might waive our small 800 baht drink bill as an apology and help toward replacing it, but [review ends here]. The hotel itself is lovely, though being on a hill means you need to be reasonably active. The main road is 0.75 miles away and the beach 1.25 miles. We walked down and took local taxis back, which were very expensive at 300 baht, or 200 from the very bottom of the hill. Phuket is much pricier than other parts of Thailand. Bolt and Grab were very hard to get in the area, so we used local taxis. Our room also wasn't ready by 3pm.

We were disappointed enough that this was the only place in Thailand where we wouldn't stay again. The location is far from everything, with a very steep, difficult walk up to the hotel and no shops or restaurants nearby. One whole day, from 9:00-17:00, we had neither power nor water. I understand outages can happen, but a hotel should have backup plans and show more empathy to guests paying for full service. The rooms and living areas are spacious, and the pool area is great. But the property is badly dated and needs renovation. Wooden floor tiles were coming loose, and my son cut his foot on one. The walls were peeling and the whole place was in poor condition. The hotel's best days seem long gone, and I'd be surprised if it were still operating in a few years.

The resort is uphill from the main road, about a 30-minute walk or 5-10 minutes by car. Most shared vans and Bolt drivers were fine about dropping us off or picking us up, though one driver wasn't happy with the trip. I don't think it deserves its claimed four stars, mainly because of the linen service and bathroom issues. They said towels would only be changed every 3-4 days and sheets every 5 days. When we asked for towels at least every two days, we were told to call and that it depended on availability. It's odd for a four-star hotel to have towel availability problems, as if we'd asked for premium wine. The bathroom was clean, but the sink and toilet bidet sprayer kept leaking. The room boy didn't explain how to use the shower, and the hand shower leaked from the hose leading to the heater.

The Jungle VIP Bar had great music, cocktails, and a fun atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the clean, comfortable rooms sat in a beautiful jungle setting with a really relaxing feel. Amazing stay at Phuket Jungle Experience, I'd definitely return! 🌴🍹✨

We came to get away from the noise and reconnect with nature, and the resort was ideal. Our treetop bungalow looked out over lovely views, with rainforest sounds all around. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was fresh and full of local flavor, and the guided jungle walks were a highlight. Even simple time in a hammock or out on the hidden trails felt peaceful and refreshing.
