OYO 1074 Fin Hostel

I planned to stay one night and ended up staying three. It’s one of the nicest hostels I’ve found in Thailand, especially for the location and price. The facilities are modern and very clean, and both staff and other guests were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot for backpackers who want to meet people. There are lots of food and drink options on the side street, and you can rent a scooter through the hostel for a great price. Such a good stay, definitely recommend it.

A welcoming, clean hostel for a very reasonable price, with a nice, laid-back atmosphere. It’s close to Kata Beach, though getting to the main walking street means taking a taxi. The rooms got quite hot since there was no way to control the air con. Beds were comfy, though a little cramped for two people. You can use the washing machines yourself.

The common area is the best part. It’s a party hostel, but it’s quiet enough to actually sleep, with lots of food and bars nearby. The beach is really close and doesn’t have the trash you see at some other beaches. Everything was clean: comfortable beds with warm covers, working A/C, showers with hot water, and very clean toilets with toilet paper.

Fin is affordable and well located, with a small private room and a good bathroom. We didn’t like the smell in the room, but some fragrance we bought at the local market helped. The balcony greenery in the pictures is clearly photoshopped, since our view was the wall of another building. There’s a great fish market just a block away, with yummy dinner options.
