We still hadn't made it into a room, and the staff seemed pretty unconcerned. It started with an overbooking or rooms that weren't usable, I'm not sure which. The person who told us was apologetic, and these things happen. But the place they moved us to up the hill had a ceiling leak while it was raining. When we tried to leave, they wouldn't drive us the short way down the hill, saying we should stand in the rain and wait for a ride. We walked back with our bags, only to hear again that no room was available at our original booking. They asked us to hang around until noon while they got one ready. Changing hotels after a day is not how you want to spend a vacation. Then there was looting outside, we had no room and were stuck in the dining area, and they were out of water. A hotel with no bottled water in stock. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at, and I hadn't even seen the inside of a room.

It's quiet and clean, with friendly staff, cold beers, and a great view over Karon Beach. They have San Mig Light, which gets them five stars from me. The drawback is the distance from Patong and central Karon. Phuket's public fares are among the most expensive in Asia, so there's that.

I checked out two minutes after checking in and got no refund. This feels like a fraudulently marketed business that should be reported. The other one-star reviews have the details.

Old and nasty. I can't understand how anyone gives it more than one star. The staff seemed just as apathetic and dispirited.
