After three weeks travelling around Thailand and mostly staying in hotels, we figured we’d try a guesthouse and maybe save some money. This place really impressed us. Our room was simple and clean, better than a few of the hotel rooms we’d had, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s in a great spot just off Karon’s main street, so the noisy bars aren’t right outside. The beach takes less than five minutes to walk to. There’s also a good restaurant on the same street, Two Chefs. The food is brilliant, they have cocktails on happy hour from noon to 6pm, and live music from 8pm. We’d definitely stay here again.

Staying at Karon Sunshine feels like being welcomed into the family. The family running it are amazing, and the place is a safe, relaxed, welcoming little oasis in Karon. It’s unpretentious too. Five stars, definitely recommend!

We got a simple, clean room with the basics covered. It was a two-minute walk to the beach, with bars, street vendors, and shops close by. For peak season, the price was reasonable.
