Kata Tranquil Villa

The location was peaceful and still close enough to Kata’s streets. My room was very clean, with housekeeping every day, and there’s a nice pool. The woman at reception was a big help, and renting a scooter here was easy. I had a pleasant stay.

The receptionist and owner were so welcoming and friendly, which made the stay even nicer. Our room and balcony were very clean and well kept. Being able to rent a scooty there made getting around easy. I had a really good experience and would recommend it.

We had the Sapphire villa with a hot tub. It was spacious and clean, and the owner was very helpful. There’s a lovely pool, plus a smart TV with Netflix and English-language channels. A 7-Eleven is about a five-minute walk away, and it’s around ten minutes to the beach and main area. We paid 200 baht for a taxi back. There are also a few nice restaurants and massage places around the corner.

We booked two rooms, but when we arrived the hotel didn’t have them and tried to move us somewhere far away. After we refused, they offered two extra beds for free in one room and promised to refund the other room. We had to chase them for two days about the money. They said they’d refund it before we left, then denied the agreement as soon as we were gone. The owner and staff were dishonest, and our stay was horrible. Other guests who liked this place may just have been lucky. I wouldn’t book here.
