Luxury Apartment at Karon Hill

Thailand was my first trip abroad, and I had an amazing time. I stayed at Karon Hill The Ark for seven days and still think about the place, even seven months later. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the occasional visit from the little cats was no bother at all. Room prices were good, too. I was nervous about paying separately for water and electricity, but together they came to just five American dollars for my stay, depending on how much you use. I'd happily recommend The Ark and hope to return. Thanks, Thailand, for the warm hospitality.

Karon Hill Development has several buildings, Palm, Pine and Ark, all less than a kilometer from Karon Beach, so it's an easy walk. The area is quiet and relaxing, and the shared pools look nice. It's on a hill, though nothing too strenuous, and the rooms have a real holiday feel. I think the listing may be duplicated for Veloche Group. For check-in, some people say they couldn't find anyone, but knocking on the staff's room might help.

The penthouse was roomy and nicely furnished, with a jacuzzi on the roof. It's mostly a self-service apartment, and the beach is about a 15-minute walk.

It's a quiet complex in a handy spot, with a 7/11, restaurants and massage places all close by.
