Mala Hotel

A well-located, very clean place with friendly, helpful staff and good service. The restaurant downstairs serves good food. I'd stay again.

The balcony was a nice practical touch, with its own sink and a clothes dryer, and the room had a big fridge, a safe, enough furniture, and plenty of space. Hot water pressure in the shower was good. They cleaned every day, left one large and one small towel per guest, and brought two small bottles of water daily. Security felt excellent. Since the hotel is on a road, choose a room facing away from it for quieter nights. For getting around Karon-Kata by motorbike, the location works well. The highway makes it easy to head north or south on the island, and the beach is easy to reach. I didn't enjoy the local and European food downstairs, though. On a bike, turn left toward Karon; at the second traffic light, evening stalls in front of the 7/11 sell tasty, inexpensive grilled seafood. You can pick up drinks there and eat on the street.

The hosts are friendly, and the daily cleaning was excellent. It's a decent guesthouse with clean rooms where everything works, plus good Wi-Fi and a balcony in each room. Kata Beach is around a 10-minute walk away. There is a highway nearby, unfortunately. I'd recommend the place.

The owners are so nice and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Everything was very clean, with rooms tidied every day. You can tell they run the place with care. Highly recommend!!!
