The location is good and close to the beach, but we wouldn't stay again. We were there for three days, and there's basically no reception. The wifi they provide is a joke, running at just 1 Mbps, which is really unacceptable if you don't want to use your mobile data while at home. There was no hand soap in the bathroom either. What's up with that?

The one good thing was that the place was clean. The toilets hadn't been renovated in ages, not even simple things like the discolored toilet seat. I've stayed at around ten hotels on this Thailand trip, most for about half the 1,000 baht price here, and this owner seemed interested only in taking the money and offering nothing. Other hotels offer at least coffee or water to refill your bottle. Here I saw bananas on a plate at the entrance and thought they were for guests, but the owner came over and said, "you ate all my bananas" 😅 Sorry about that. I also prefer booking in person rather than through websites, but the price we were quoted on the phone was different from the price in person. All in all, better to give your money to someone who appreciates it. I can understand why Puckett looks the way it does, because unfortunately a lot of the locals are like that.

Arrive late and you may find yourself locked out. The front door is shut, nobody answers, and you'll end up sleeping on the street.
