Pathaya Place Kata Hotel

We arrived late at night to find no reception, no staff, and no check-in instructions. We had to ask other guests for help and make several calls before anyone came. They said booking system failures meant they weren’t receiving arrival notifications, which we initially tried to understand. The room was dirty from the first night, with a strong mold smell, visible grime, and a bathroom in very poor condition. This went beyond normal wear and tear and felt like serious neglect of hygiene. I raised the room’s condition with the hosts three times. All they did was sweep the floor once, on the second night. There was no bathroom cleaning or proper housekeeping, and we got no fresh towels for five nights. Towels only arrived on the last night after I got upset and insisted. They offered to move us on the final day, far too late after days in unsanitary conditions. The individual hosts seemed polite, but management was completely inadequate. The lack of cleanliness, organization, and basic standards made the stay unsafe and unacceptable. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel.

Thanks for all the hospitality. Everything was perfect, but I can’t give five stars because of the bike :) It’s a great place if you have a bike or car.

The service team were very welcoming, and a few of the rooms have gorgeous views.

The location is excellent for Kata beach, and the people here are friendly. A great place to stay.
