Good value and right in central Kata, with modern rooms, good air conditioning, and a really nice breakfast. Keep in mind there’s no elevator. Street-facing rooms can get traffic noise, while rooms facing the other way have windows directly opposite other apartments, which cuts down on privacy.

We were really happy with our choice for this Phuket stay. I’d asked for a quiet room, and that’s exactly what I got. It was clean every day without us needing to ask, and the location is right in the heart of Kata, a three-minute walk to Kata beach. There’s a 7-Eleven next door, and the Phuket smart bus to the airport goes along the road out front. The receptionist and cleaner were both among the friendliest, kindest people, always greeting us and helping with questions. Breakfast was proper and really good. It isn’t a full buffet, but there’s a salad, yogurt, and toast buffet, plus a main breakfast you choose from the menu.

The room had plenty of space and was cleaned every day. I slept so well there. It’s a beautiful place, with lovely interiors for anyone who likes Scandinavian style. The staff and service were the best, and there was something delicious and different to choose each day at breakfast. Highly recommended.

We had a very good stay at Sugar Ohana and were impressed by the service from start to finish. Booking through Booking.com and checking in were easy, and a staff member showed us to the room and pointed out facilities like the beach towels. Everyone we spoke to understood English, which made things easier. The room was clean and comfortable, with the usual amenities, though toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more personal toiletries weren’t provided. We also had a balcony with a drying rack. Breakfast was delicious, with several egg choices, sweet options like pancakes, and coffee made to order. When we left early on the next two mornings, the staff packed breakfast and left it outside our door. There’s a 7/11 and a massage place right next door. Since we stayed three nights, we got a 20% voucher for Pearl. The location was decent, but the beach is a bit farther away and involves a short uphill walk, so we didn’t spend much time at Kata Beach. Phuket Old Town and the airport are also farther away, which made those trips take longer. We did find a local bus to Phuket Old Town for 40 baht, and you can hail it just across the street. We enjoyed our stay and almost wish we’d had more time at the hotel and for its sit-down breakfast. Thank you!
