The only thing I liked was getting a cheaper rate when I showed my work permit. As beginners, we got no useful information from reception, and when we asked how to wakeboard, the answer wasn’t clear. We had to work it out ourselves. The staff at the machine were terribly unfriendly and gave no instructions. Maybe Wake Park is aimed more at professionals, but the help for beginners is really lacking. We also asked for a simple receipt to use for our Thai company and they refused to provide anything. We paid for the service, so we should be able to get a receipt somehow. That’s absolutely ridiculous, and, as I understand it, illegal. If you’re new to wakeboarding, don’t waste your time coming here.

I think this park suits more advanced riders. It was my first time wakeboarding, and for 2500B I got 30 minutes of training on the small track and an hour on the big one. When you fall, a guy on a motorcycle picks you up and takes you back to the start. The video is from my first go on the big track, where I fell at the first left turn 😄

Once I figured out the turns, it was really smooth and fun. The turns work differently on this setup, so I’d recommend learning first. It’s much cheaper than renting a boat in the ocean, and the obstacles are nice. If you fall mid-course, a motorcycle comes to get you and takes you back very quickly. The coaches and cable operators were helpful, including showing me how to start.

I’ve spent hours watching professionals practice here, including world-class athletes. Even as a bystander, I think it’s an amazing place, with a cool vibe and a fun sport.

Really amazing, and worth the price. I’d recommend booking two hours because time flies, and it takes a while to get the hang of it. My husband needed about 40 minutes to learn.
