For a simple, quiet getaway, this privately run resort is a nice option if you don’t need all the bells and whistles. It’s a little outside town, among several other lodging places, and offers a peaceful stay with a clean beach and sunrise views. There are rooms and a cafe/restaurant right beside the beach, though the facilities are basic. The operator is friendly and pleasant, and speaks very basic English. Toiletries are limited to a towel and a tiny bar of soap, so bring anything else you’ll need.

The breakfast was included, and the beach is only a two minute walk away. There are plenty of food stalls nearby and a mini mart for snacks and daily necessities. It’s a budget stay, with a very hard bed, but it was okay. The air conditioning and water heater were both strong, and the water supply was fine. Cleanliness could be better, though, as I saw a large cockroach in the bathroom.

The owners were kind and helpful, arranging a ride to the bus stop and helping us book a pink dolphin tour. Breakfast was delicious, and the beach is less than a three minute walk from the hotel.

Speaking as a Muslim, for other Muslims’ reference, halal food is hard to find in this area. The room was okay and the staff very friendly. The beach nearby isn’t suitable for swimming, since the waves are very large and could be dangerous for children.

There are a few seafood restaurants nearby, but the hotel is close to the beach and not much else. It takes about a 10 minute drive to reach khanom town. A wedding next door played really loud music until late, and the hotel staff could have put us in rooms farther away. That was quite disappointing. The washrooms also need some work. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have another event or reason to be in the area.
