The rice porridge was delicious, and having breakfast with a lovely view over the Khao Kho Royal Palace was a highlight. I booked on Agoda for around 1000+ baht for four people. It’s a private place with tent sites and rooms for two or four, kept simple and homey. The entrance road is a little rough but manageable. GPS shows two ways in from the main road on Khao Kho. Use the alley opposite the rest stop. Google Maps can send you down a wet dirt road toward a Hmong farm instead. I got stuck there and couldn’t drive any farther, but luckily villagers and the owner helped get me up. The owner was very kind.

We couldn’t find the place when we arrived, so a sign with its name would help. Once there, though, the atmosphere felt private and pleasant, with a lawn for camping and a 180-degree view. It was good overall.

I chose a tent for the natural setting when I stayed on December 11-12, 2022, and really enjoyed the surroundings. The service was excellent, and breakfast was delicious. I’d highly recommend it.
