The staff were helpful. I left my phone in the shared bathroom by the lounge, and they kept it safe at reception, kap bun ka! The temple is an easy walk away, and the view of it and the mountain was lovely. We stayed just one night, the day after Christmas, and it was 16 Celsius at midnight. The place felt like a Korean drama set 😍, with benches and bright lights outside the rooms. I liked sitting there and talking with my sister on that quiet night 😊. The toilet was the one drawback. It was so small that the rest of us had to leave the room to give whoever was changing enough space and privacy in a dry spot. Still, I wouldn’t mind staying again sometime 😊.

The Sunset room was simple but roomy, with a big balcony for enjoying the afternoon sun, and parking right outside. The location is convenient and the temple view is great, though from our room it also included the rubbish dump at the edge of the temple car park. Staff were lovely. I lowered my rating because the price didn’t feel right for the quality. There were some basic maintenance problems in the room. As others have mentioned, neither this hotel nor the nearby temple restaurants sell alcohol. The hotel does let you bring your own to the restaurant if you plan ahead.

We caught a beautiful sunrise from the front of Moonlight Chateau, which sits right by the temple and has great views of both the temple and mountain. Breakfast was hearty, and the staff were helpful. Our round bungalow was quite spacious, though we couldn't figure out why there was a sink inside the room. They don't serve alcohol or soda here. Still, we had a fun stay.

The staff on site were so courteous and polite, five stars from me, and they can arrange a taxi to pick you up on time when you leave. The standout feature is how close the place is to the temple. In my opinion, that proximity makes the price worthwhile. You’d have to be a monk or Thai royalty to stay closer. My cottage had a great mini-fridge, and the Wi-Fi worked well both in the room and in the lobby and eating area. There’s a cute Christmas theme throughout the lobby and dining spaces, which I think they keep up all year. With Covid restrictions, not much was going on after about 6 pm, so it’s best to plan ahead for food or drinks. The bed could have been more comfortable, which is why I gave four stars. Also, this isn’t Bangkok, Pattaya, or Phuket, and expecting those cities’ atmosphere here could leave you disappointed. If you’re around 6' or taller, consider booking the largest room, since the others may feel too small. I’ll definitely stay again because of the temple location.

The mountain views are lovely, and the resort is close to the temple. My room was small, but clean and nice. It’s cool here, with very strong winds.
