The Shore at Katathani - Adults Only

The beautiful setting and views made the problems during our honeymoon all the more disappointing. We expected much better comfort, housekeeping, and pest control from a resort at this price. My wife and I were itching badly even though we used mosquito repellent, and room service was noticeably slow several times. There was a rat by the pool balcony that ate some of our food. We also found mosquitoes, insects, geckos on the curtains, and wasps inside the room’s light fixtures. We contacted pest control, but the problems kept coming back. I told a housekeeping staff member not to leave the doors open during cleaning because insects were getting in, but we still often returned to find mosquitoes and other pests in the room. We raised our concerns with the hotel after the stay and appreciated the apology. Unfortunately, the experience had already affected what was meant to be a special honeymoon.

The resort is really hilly, but the paths beside the ocean are beautiful and make for a good workout. Breakfast was delicious every day, and room service was tasty too. We loved our villa in love seaview. The room was amazing, the view was stunning, and it was hard to leave the private pool. The staff were wonderful. One thing I’d suggest is improving the atmosphere at the restaurants and main pool. A little music and some better lighting could go a long way.

Villa 8842 was a highlight, with a lovely beach view and a private pool that felt almost completely private, around 99%. The resort’s adults-only setup made everything calm and peaceful, just right for a relaxing break. It was clean, fresh, and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming and very friendly throughout. The amenities were excellent, and the rooms and general atmosphere felt thoughtfully put together. An amazing stay and worth every penny. Highly recommend it if you want a quiet, premium getaway in Phuket.

The Katathani app was really handy. We could message the front desk with requests, like asking for a buggy when it rained or a ride to a restaurant elsewhere on the Katathani property. The room was also well placed for getting to the gym, breakfast area, spa, and lobby, and the food options were great. I loved the mix of privacy and sea views. There was a study, lounge area, clawfoot tub, and a balcony sofa, with direct access to the private pool from the room and balcony. Great room and service.
