Royal Prince Residence

After six days, I was more than ready to leave. The pictures make the hotel look amazing, but the facilities are old, poorly maintained, dirty, and moldy, and the rooms smell awful. The shower’s hot water comes and goes, the AC doesn’t cool the room, and the sheets and towels were stained. The kitchen was disgusting and smelled terrible. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

From the beginning, the stay was awful. The receptionist was rude and unwelcoming, and the room smelled moldy, which made it uncomfortable. The walls looked old and damaged. The washroom smelled bad too, and its exhaust fan didn’t work. Then food we ordered through Grab was stolen from the reception area. The staff didn’t seem to care or try to help. It felt like they clearly didn’t care about guests, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The location is handy. We were five people staying from 12th to 15th November, and could walk to Patong Beach and the main market without transport. The property itself needs much more care, and management should be friendlier and more helpful. We arrived around 1am and got no warm welcome, just what felt like a rulebook. For a group arriving at midnight, even a couple of water bottles would have been a standard courtesy, but there was nothing. In Room 22, a duplex, we found several maintenance problems: the bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work, the tap leaked, the jet spray had no pressure, and the upstairs AC barely cooled. The kitchen smelled bad, had broken shelves and rusty gas stoves, and paint was peeling from the walls. For the price, that was disappointing. Our Grab food order, worth about 450 baht, was stolen while no one was at reception. After checking CCTV, they said someone from the property had taken it, but they couldn’t identify who. We lost our dinner and the money, which was frustrating. The bed corners were sharp and unfinished, and one of us got cut. The manager had no bandage when we asked.

Stayed for 8 days. The place was clean and tidy, and the rooms were nice. The AC worked well and it felt like home. Lovely stay, highly recommend.
