The Krabi Sands Resort (SHA Extra Plus)

The rooms are large and comfortable, and the friendly staff went out of their way to help. I had everything I needed and thought it was good value. The beach is just across the road. Renting a scooter from them is a good idea if you want to see more of the area. I’d definitely come back.

We were disappointed, especially for the price. Our bungalow was at the end of the row, beside a storage area and some rubbish, and the resort sits on a busy street. The room smelled unpleasant and the bathroom was awkward to use. We didn’t enjoy staying here and found a much better place for the second half of our trip.

The resident dogs and cats were a big hit with us, and the owners were a pleasure to talk with. The restaurant served beautiful food. We absolutely loved how calm, quiet, and peaceful the place was.

There’s a small 7/11 next door, with bars and restaurants just a few minutes away, and the complex is well located in Klong Muang. The staff are friendly and keep everything well maintained. Rooms were cleaned daily and we got fresh towels. Breakfast is served buffet style across the road at the restaurant, with fruit, cereal, pastries, and eggs cooked to order. It’s a nice spot overlooking the beach. The air conditioning wasn’t great and the room never really cooled down, though it was over 36°C every day, so that wasn’t too surprising. There aren’t many sunbeds by the pool. Nearly all were reserved by 7:30, even though some people didn’t show up until lunchtime. That felt really annoying and selfish.
