Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre

The convention center means the lobby and ground floor can get pretty busy. If you're bringing heavy bags, note that there's no lift from the downstairs parking area to the lobby, so you may want to get dropped at the front entrance. The room was comfortable, though older than I'd hoped, and the hotel has a pleasant spa feel. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. I would've liked more fruit and oats.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. I had a restful stay in that sense, but the service coordination needs work. At check-in, nobody explained where breakfast was, when it was served, or where the elevators were. We had to figure those things out ourselves. Staff put our luggage on a trolley when we arrived, then disappeared, so we carried everything to the room. The vouchers were difficult to use too. The Welcome Drink at London Inn was just one menu item and had to be consumed there. We also couldn't use the free Karaoke coupon, since we were told it was always full when we tried to book. With better service, this could have been a five-star stay.

I spent five nights at Avani and would gladly return. The pool area and open spaces were especially relaxing, with a light breeze that made it lovely to sit around. The hotel is gorgeous, with striking architecture and views throughout. Breakfast was very good each morning, both in quality and variety. Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, was consistently kind, attentive, and professional. I'd definitely recommend Avani.

Dinner at the London Inn was delicious, and Khun Som was especially kind and helpful. The staff were friendly throughout, and the room was clean and comfortable too. We had a lovely stay and meal at Avani Khon Kaen Hotel, and would happily come back.
