Fun-D City View

The room was clean and room service worked well, but the staff left me disappointed for the first time in Thailand. I understand the language barrier, but I think they could at least return a hello after I greeted them. When I arrived, all I heard was “passport,” with no welcome or anything.

For 610 THB on a Saturday, I had a 24-square-meter Standard King room with a double bed. The decor was plain but functional, and everything worked as it should. It’s a decent hotel for the price. There’s parking in the hotel’s own lot, and you can get coffee, drinks, or noodle boxes at reception.

I was feeling unwell, and the room felt comfortable. We had a fairly large room for three, with two beds together and a third set at another angle, which gave me a comfortable view. There was also a big counter.

Someone tried my door at 2am. Thankfully, although I’d forgotten to lock it, I had put the chain on. I couldn’t tell whether it was a staff member or another guest, which brought my rating down. The staff were friendly, and there’s a free snack station on the ground floor, though tea options would be a good addition. I arrived in the morning and booked one night. Only one staff member spoke English, and the others gathered around her, which felt a bit awkward, but the process was quick and a room was ready right away. The room cost 690 baht at the door, plus a 300 baht deposit that was returned without any issue. It was spacious, though a bedside light switch would have been handy. The location is okay, if not as good as some cheaper hotels. WiFi was choppy and unreliable while I was working.
