Pennueng Hotel

The TV didn't work, and a bad drain smell filled the room all night. It looked clean, but the bathroom tiles had a sticky residue on them.

Quiet and clean.

The lobby staff were lovely, polite and courteous, and I really appreciated that the woman there changed my room and apologized. There was also an elderly security guard keeping watch over the cars all night. The first room I was shown smelled musty. It had brown marks on the walls that I think may have been rust, and patches on the walls and ceiling that looked like black mold. The floor had hair, tissue and dust; there were menstrual blood stains on the blanket, yellow marks on the pillow, and powder and hair stuck to the refrigerator inside and out. I was moved to another room, but it had similar issues. I was tired from traveling, so I didn't report them again and stayed there. In that second room, the floor had hair and there were cobwebs in the corners. The blanket had red spots, the pillow had yellow stains, and the room smelled musty. The bed was soft and the air conditioning worked well. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose, so I had to hold it with one hand to open it. There were yellow stains on the wall tiles, stubborn black marks around the sink drain, and black mold on the outside of the sink. Beside the bathroom door, the wall looked as if it had only been plastered, with just 1-2 tiles attached. Water pressure was normal on the day I stayed. The towels were torn and smelled unpleasant. Personally, I don't think they should be given to customers. People in the next room talked loudly, and the doors opening were quite noisy, possibly because the walls are thin. The entrance also seemed a little cluttered and dim.

The staff were very helpful, and the place was clean and okay overall, with a security guard there at all times. My room had a very soft bed and clean room, though its bathroom door wouldn't lock. Other rooms were fine and clean. There were a few stains on the blanket, but I didn't mind. I was surprised there were no towels. It's near a 7-Eleven, though trees block the hotel sign and some people have trouble spotting the entrance.
