I only stayed one night, and the hotel was quiet. The room was large and clean, with big windows letting in lots of daylight. I forgot to take photos, and there was no toothbrush, so bring your own. Khon Kaen walking street is directly across the road, with places to eat and a laundromat just a few metres away in either direction. The nearest 7-11 is a 15-minute walk, but getting there means crossing busy roads three or four times, which felt risky. Beung Thung Sang looks close on the map, but the car-oriented roads make walking there miserable. A 5-7 minute Grab motorbike ride is a better option. It's a lovely park for an evening stroll. Romantic Hotel is fine for a short stop of a day or less if your plans are to eat nearby, relax in the room, visit Beung Thung Sang, and finish at Khon Kaen walking street. For a longer stay in KK or more exploring around the city, I'd choose somewhere nearer the train station or Hugz mall, with more to see on foot. There are night markets in lots of areas, so Khon Kaen walking street is only one option and you don't have to stay right by it.

The room was nicely decorated, but a couple of things took away from the stay. Some light switches worked backwards, and a few didn't seem to work at all. Also, there was no mini bar. I'd come back, though not because I think it's the best place around.

We spent one night here and enjoyed it. The rooms were roomy and the breakfast was good. For a budget hotel, the front desk staff in particular provided excellent service. I'd recommend staying here.

We picked the family suite for its king-size bed, even though there were just two of us, and it was worth the money. The room was spotless and comfortable, and its cleanliness really impressed us during our one night at Romantic Hotel Khon Kaen. We loved the stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Khon Kaen.

Our 70 sqm room made for a peaceful, spacious retreat for a romantic night in Khon Kaen. The staff were attentive and professional the whole time. My partner and I had such a lovely stay that we've saved the hotel for a future trip, and would recommend it to other couples.
