The Boss Grand Tower Hotel

I've stayed twice and found it hard to beat for the money. The rooms are roomy, clean, and laid out differently from most hotel rooms, with a comfortable double or king-size bed. The air conditioning worked well, and there was a flat-screen TV and a fridge with two complimentary bottles of water, though no beer or other drinks. Smoking isn't allowed in any bedroom, with fines of 300 baht and up. There's parking behind the hotel. I gave it four stars for value, not amenities. It feels like a first-class budget hotel at hostel prices.

I called to reserve a room and they hung up on me. I suspect they don't understand English, though my Thai is good enough to make a booking. Sorting out specific dates could be a problem, so I'll book somewhere else with a website.

Parking space for cars may be limited, and the place could easily be full. If you're already in town, check whether a room is available before making other plans.

February 2017, 400 Baht a night. It was quiet and clean, with a big comfortable bed, warm shower, air conditioning, fridge, and TV. There's also a small Caffè in the lobby and free Wifi, usually with a good signal, though it disconnected sometimes. I did notice a few tiny ants, and the staff couldn't speak English.
