The Cotton Tree Hometel

I've stayed here several times and keep coming back whenever I'm in Khon Kaen. The rooms are clean, the hot shower is good, and the location is convenient. Every so often I can hear people in the neighboring rooms, but it hasn't been enough to put me off staying here.

It’s easy to walk to our workplace from here, and the area near the campus is quiet, peaceful, and alcohol-free. The room was spacious and well kept, so it was a comfortable place to unwind. Breakfast includes local dishes. The panned egg was a little burnt, but the meal was still satisfactory. A short walk away, Sweet Gallery has sweet treats and pasta dishes.

The rooms and bathrooms are quiet, clean, and generously sized, with the main amenities, though there are no dental kits. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English. The neighborhood has plenty of cafes and restaurants, and the hotel has a good feel to it. Water pressure could be stronger. Also, when I switched off the AC, I noticed a moldy smell. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

We booked four rooms and stayed for five weeks. We had planned to remain at The Cotton Tree Hometel longer, but the mold smell was bad, and mold was starting to grow on our belongings. Staff said they couldn't do anything except suggest opening the balcony door, so we booked another hotel for the rest of our time in Khon Kaen. The rooms also let in a lot of noise. We could hear people talking next door, which led to sleepless nights.
