The Impress Khonkaen Hotel

The price is one plus, and it's close to the community, hospital, and restaurants. But there were too many issues. My room wasn't clean, and the balcony was very dirty. The carpet was torn, and the old bedding had defects. On the first night the air conditioner wasn't cold; after it was fixed, the room was cleaned, as shown. Towels weren't changed each day. FYI, breakfast is Thai food, which may not suit foreigners.

In room #404, the mattress had a spring sticking out, and the bathroom tiles and grout were moldy and very dirty. The cupboard door was broken, and the bathroom door needed to be kept closed. There was poor TV reception, the balcony lights didn't work, and there was no bathroom for 5 days. The parking wasn't secure as advertised. I had free breakfast every day with my room, but I only ate at the hotel once. Now they want to charge me for dirty towels that weren't washed?

The place is clean and comfortable, with adequate facilities. I don't understand why so many people praise the breakfast, since the selection is quite limited. They do have free instant coffee and basic snacks in reception all day, and you can make toast and coffee there to go with breakfast, since those aren't available in the breakfast room.

I booked three nights but left after the first. The room and bathroom were dirty, the staff unfriendly, and the wifi didn't work. It was hard to find even with GPS, and there were no decorations in the room. The place looked and felt like a prison. For a three-star hotel? Not even worth one star. Horrible, avoid it like the plague. I went back to Orchid hotel, which is much better and has very friendly staff.
