Vijitra Camping & Resort

The view from the accommodation was just like the pictures, very relaxing. We visited in August 2016 during high tide, and the weather was pleasant with a light breeze. Service was warm and friendly. We asked at the accommodation and were told swimming is possible at low tide at Vijitra Beach. The room was clean and quiet. It came with air conditioning, a refrigerator, TV, water heater, two bottles of water, and toiletries including soap, shampoo, lotion, a razor, and a shower cap. Breakfast was included. The price was 1,500 THB per night, plus 300 THB for a third person. Getting there by sedan was difficult because the road has many deep potholes, so it’s not suitable for lowered or modified cars. The bathroom is extremely narrow, with hardly room to turn and nowhere to hang towels, which could be a problem for larger people. There are only four electrical outlets, and the TV, set-top box, and refrigerator use three, leaving just one free.

The view is beautiful, and the owner is friendly and gives good tips about local attractions. Rooms feel a bit old, though. It’s close to Pha Taem, about a 15-minute drive for sunrise. The rate was 1,500 baht per night with a set meal included. They also offer a boat trip to 9000 Bok for 1,800 baht per boat.

We stayed in a lovely place by the river, with a really nice atmosphere. The owners were friendly and the food was delicious. At low tide, you can walk down to the sandy beach. Pha Taem is nearby, and you can get there to watch the sunrise within 15 minutes.

The food was great, and I really enjoyed the warm, homey atmosphere. The weather was lovely too. It’s a beautiful place, and I was very impressed!
