Heyhanavee Resort

The old place was okay, and the bedroom was clean, but it felt like it hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. They cleaned it after we got there and wouldn't let us leave, even though we were renting it and the owner was only going to check in the morning. That made the place feel a bit private. There were lots of mosquitoes in the bedroom. When we arrived, they turned on the air conditioning and had us wait outside instead of opening the room for us to stay. The male owner was like a gangster and wouldn't let us interrupt, so we had to listen to him. The karaoke room and telephone weren't ready to use and needed an hour of fixing. The pool also needed cleaning before it could be used. They said they'd fix things, but if it was dirty, it could only fit five people and felt cramped.

The resort has a vintage feel, much like the pictures, though I haven't uploaded them all. The beach is right in front, just a short road crossing away from the bay. During the recent long weekend I stayed here with several friends, and the atmosphere was like being at a friend's house. The staff were very friendly and helpful with advice, and the price was reasonable. It seemed peaceful, and I think renting the whole resort for a party with friends would work well. I'd definitely return.

At 1,500 THB with breakfast included, the price felt somewhere in the middle. The room was clean and the AC cooled well. Shower pressure was weak, though there was enough water to rinse off after swimming; it was stronger at the sink.

The rooms are plain rather than luxurious, and the place seems better suited to groups than families. There’s a lawn to walk around on and some parking, though not a lot. It’s not close to the sea.
