The Princess Beach Resort

The beach is clean and lovely, with crystal clear water where you can see underwater without a snorkeling mask. Around the beautiful grounds there’s a huge garden, several pools, and plenty of little places to sit and enjoy the view. You can watch the sunset with an open view. It's quiet and peaceful, with good service and delicious food. The rooms and bungalows are okay, nothing extravagant, and a big renovation is underway, so the rooms will probably be very modern afterward. They also have gorgeous traditional wooden Thai huts on stilts. I’d stay in one next time. Wi-Fi was superb, with no issues.

The beachfront is great, and the beach and garden are nice. There are two buildings, one with an elevator and better rooms with balconies. In the other, the stairs are uncomfortable, bathrooms have no ventilation, and the equipment is poor. Staff smile, but don't do anything, and the restaurant menu is very limited.

The gardens and pool area are very nice, with a huge pool looking out over the beach. Watching local fishermen pull in their nets was interesting. Inside, the hotel is somewhat dated and seems to cater mainly to Thai visitors.

In the morning we took a dip in the pool, then swam in the sea beside the white sandy beach. The room was clean, with a balcony overlooking the garden, and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant.
