The Toy Beach Resort

We had a lovely family trip here. The room was roomy and the bed comfortable, and there’s a pool plus some pagodas where you can sit. Dinner is a seafood buffet, with more food available on Saturdays. Breakfast is simple, with Thai dishes and some toast for foreign guests. 😊

The beach is close, but the sea was too cold for swimming, and we didn’t use any of the several pools, including the children’s one. The room was okay, though worn, and the bathroom could use an upgrade. There was no door between the bathroom and living area, so morning light woke me early. I’m under 180 cm tall, yet kept hitting my head on the door frame when going to the toilet or shower, enough to give me a cold in the head. The beds were as hard as the floor, so you might as well sleep on the floor. We stayed one night, which was one night too many. The photos made the place look good, but the reality was different, and finding the lobby was difficult. When we got there to pay, they accepted neither cash nor credit cards. My Thai companion had to scan a QR code on his phone. As an English speaker, communicating with the staff was very difficult, and luckily my companion could handle it. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, but every item was cold. It was a mediocre stay that didn’t meet my expectations.

There’s plenty for families and kids to do, and the room was nice and close to the beach.

The beach left the strongest impression on me, clean and peaceful, and the sunset made a lovely view. I visited two months ago and had a wonderful time. Parking is spacious, though it’s open-air, so it can get hot in the afternoon. Our room was clean, nice, and smelled wonderful. There was free grilled pork and live music for every room at night. Breakfast was okay, although the dining area got a bit crowded in the morning. A good resort for a relaxing vacation.
