Amber Sands Beach Resort

The bungalows were lovely, and Simon and his family, cats included, made us feel very comfortable at Amber Sands Beach Resort. Sitting by the beach at night and looking up at the stars was magical. You'll need a car to explore the other side of Koh Chang, including Long Beach, where the water is crystal clear. Aoy’s Little Farm and Bakery is a great stop on the way. The bathroom was clean, but cramped, with little room for our things. It also didn't feel as comfortable or well designed as the bungalows and the rest of the property. The restaurant has lots of choices at reasonable prices, and last orders are at 19.30. We stayed nearly a week and really liked the grounds. There are plenty of places to sit, sunbathe, or just relax, and the property is beautiful and well kept. Our cosy bungalow had storage and a small fridge. The owners were lovely and helpful. You'll need a vehicle to get into town, though you can catch a morning ride when the owner goes grocery shopping.

Simon was wonderfully welcoming. He met us at the nearest pier when we arrived, then drove us to White Sand Beach when we left so we could make our ferry transfer. His family and the rest of the team were just as kind, which made the stay feel especially warm. We stayed four nights in Bungalow 4. The room was spacious and convenient, with a big comfortable bed, fridge, and safe. It was always clean, and we got complimentary water each day. The garden and pool were very well cared for, and the pool sunbeds were super comfortable. Guests can also use kayaks free of charge. The resort is peaceful, and the restaurant sits right by the water. We especially enjoyed breakfast. We had a wonderful time and would happily return.

Simon and the staff were great, and the location was really laid-back. There was also a very cute baby cat. We rented a nice scooter and had lots of fun. Thanks!
