John and his wife were very welcoming and offered good tips about the area. The clean rooms were spacious compared with others we stayed in Thailand. You can rent a scooter on site, and their five dogs are very friendly.

We came back for the hospitality and the wonderful bed, and had another incredibly nice stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the air conditioning works perfectly, and you wake to the sound of nature. Scooter rental is great, and John helps whenever he can. He welcomes you with humor and kindness. Happy days!

These beautiful bungalows sit where the jungle meets civilization. The accommodation is simple, but the area is quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the shower has hot water and good pressure. The AC runs quietly too. Scooter rentals are available at competitive prices. There are several lovely dogs around, and they’re quiet and don’t bother you. John, the owner, is a great host and knows the island well.

The bungalows were roomy and comfortable, and felt like great value. We also loved how peaceful Elephant & Castle is, tucked among lovely trees. There are a bunch of sweet dogs around the property, maybe eight, and they made the stay even nicer. The owners are a lot of fun to chat with, too. They have motorbikes for rent when one is available, which was really handy.
