I stayed for five days and slept really comfortably. The staff live their own lives on site, but they were always happy to help when I asked to extend my stay, and everything went smoothly. It's smoker friendly, the price feels fair, and there's a decent spot to unwind in nature. This is the Hippy Hut, and it feels just like the name suggests, a rustic, hippyesque place on a budget. If you're expecting a four or five star hotel, you've missed the point. For my fishing trip, it worked perfectly. I could rest, wash myself and my rods, sort out rigs, and pack my things. Bangbao is right nearby, with the island's better fishing spots just 3-5 minutes away. It also suits solo travellers or pairs looking to explore the island along a less travelled route. You come here to get away from tourists expecting an all inclusive resort and spend time around people who feel more real and a bit unusual.
