Luxury Duplex - Infinity Pool

The pool was large and well cared for, and the grounds stayed green and tidy with daily attention. I loved the quiet atmosphere and those calm evenings on the terrace looking out over the bay. The views were amazing, and it felt much nicer than the touristy places. I was really happy staying here.

The apartments are finished to a high standard and have everything you need if you like to cook for yourself. Bang Bao village and pier are nearby, with shops and restaurants for basic needs, and the location is quiet with stunning views. The problem is the polluted water in the bay. The village’s grey water flows straight into the sea, so swimming in the complex pool is the only option.

We really enjoyed our stay. The area is peaceful, and there’s a very good restaurant just a two-minute walk from the hotel. Shops, an ATM and motorbike rental are about six minutes away. The host sent clear directions before arrival and replied to my messages quickly. There’s no staff on site, which might be a little confusing, but it worked fine for us. The rooms are a bit dated and could use a refresh, though everything was clean, with a microwave and washing machine. The pool is big and clean, and the price is reasonable.

The pier was an easy walk away, which was handy for boat trips around the island, and we had a lovely sea breeze and pier view from our balcony. We also liked the quality furnishings, the gardens, and the low-rise, low-density condo setting. We spent two weeks here in December 2020. Getting around was less convenient. The central area is about a 20-minute drive, so you need your own car or scooter. There were fewer places to eat than in the center, and some nearby spots were closed during the very quiet Covid season. You also don’t get a sunset view from here, so if you want to watch the sunset from your balcony each day, the central area would suit better. The pool was so dirty that we wouldn’t swim in it. Monkeys also got into our trash despite our efforts to secure the bin outside the apartment, and scattered it around our doorstep. Having to clean it up repeatedly was unpleasant. Management should arrange more regular trash collection or provide somewhere more secure for disposal.
