Sangtawan Resort

I had a bad stay and wouldn’t recommend this place. My room had been booked in advance, but it was given to someone else who paid a higher price. The AC didn’t cool properly, the cattle was unclean, and the whole area was dusty. It didn’t meet my expectations.

The beach and sea are right outside, with a seating spot in front of the bungalow to enjoy the view and breeze. There’s also a good restaurant next door and a 7-11 nearby. The room is large, nicely kept, and bright, with big windows and a beach view. It has a comfortable Kingsize bed with clean, quality bedding, a counch, air conditioner, tv, refrigerator, kettle and coffee facilities. The bathroom has a hot shower. Great value for a beachfront bungalow, perfect!

The beach is long and clean, and the hotel sits right on it with mountain views. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bars in town, though meals cost more here than on the mainland, not outrageously so. Staff were welcoming and the rooms were a good size, clean and serviced daily with fresh sheets and towels. The fridge was well stocked, but anything used costs extra. Our room smelled a little, which seems common in Thailand, and the mattress was uncomfortable but manageable. The hotel said it had Internet, but it wasn’t working while we were there. Food at the restaurant was good, although my salad was basic, small, and looked little like the menu photo.

The bungalows sit right on the beach, and I thought the rate was fair for that spot. Breakfast is included, and they bring fresh water and coffee for making yourself each day. Towels are available whenever you want them. We had a really nice time and would happily stay again. 💪🏼 :)
