Koh Chang Paradise Hill

This was my third visit, and sadly I won’t be coming back. It was much better during the COVID period. By my second stay, the quality had already slipped, though management apologized then. This time the experience was poor enough that I can’t recommend the property. On the Paradise Hill side, I noticed a strong sewage-like smell and a damp, moldy odor in the area and room. The whole atmosphere felt humid and uncomfortable. Staff didn’t seem very proactive, and we had to manage our own luggage with little help. At breakfast, the area looked unclean, and some dishes and utensils didn’t appear to have been properly washed. We also had unpleasant interactions at the restaurant on the Paradise Resort side. Twice, staff didn’t confirm our order again, and a seafood dish was brought to someone who doesn’t eat seafood. When we raised the issue, the response felt dismissive instead of focused on fixing it.

I checked out a day early because the stay stopped feeling relaxing, and I was waiting for the next thing to go wrong. At first it was impossible to reach the front desk, in English or Thai, and I suspect they were understaffed. The TV and room phone were broken, and room service never answered. The next morning, our door keys wouldn’t work. It took 90 minutes and six trips back and forth before the problem was fixed.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel is conveniently close to the beach and nearby restaurants. I had a comfortable stay at Koh Chang Paradise Hill. My room was modern and well cared for, and the large, clean pool was ideal for relaxing. It’s a good choice for a restful holiday in Koh Chang. I’d recommend it and would gladly come back.

A clean, comfortable hotel with a spacious room and all the facilities I needed. The staff were friendly and quick to respond, and being right by the beach made it a lovely place for a relaxing break.
