Breakfast runs until 3 PM, which is great if you like a slow start. MyStay Hotel is also handy for getting between the old town and several beaches, especially if you have a car or motorbike. They rent motorbikes at a reasonable rate too. The rooms are basic but clean for the price, and the staff were friendly and tried hard to make us feel welcome. Just keep in mind there are three floors and no elevator, so it could be difficult for older guests or anyone with mobility issues. Good value and an easy base for exploring the area.

The water went out twice while we were there, with no warning either time. That added to an already frustrating stay at Hotel Mystays. There was no hand soap in the room, and although the room card listed a safe, we didn't have one. In the washroom, housekeeping kept moving our personal things around, and we found black mold. They also switched off the air conditioning while cleaning, so coming back from the heat to a warm room was unpleasant. We had to leave a $200 deposit to get an extra room key. Staff explained it was for checking the room for damage, which we understood, but they only returned it after my friend went to the front desk to ask. Having to chase it felt awkward and unnecessary. These problems affected our comfort, and clearer communication and more care for the guest experience would have helped.

We checked in late on Jan 8th, and the guy at reception was so kind to us. We're from India, and he was really cooperative, polite, and knew how to treat guests. We loved the stay and had a great time. Thanks to him for making it even better.

Everything else was good, and I'd give it five stars if not for the location, which felt a bit odd. Still, it's worth booking here.
