The clean, comfortable beds and towels were a plus, and at $23 USD it was a cheap stay. The location is handy too, walking distance to the beach and about 15 minutes on foot from Bali Hai pier. Still, I’d only call it decent if you’re staying with someone you know. The toilet area isn’t sealed off by the frosted glass, which stops short of the ceiling, so smells carry through. The air conditioning felt weak even at 18 and could have been stronger. The shower glass covers only about two thirds of the space, and water splashes out when the pressure is high. The floor slopes away from the drain, so it can flood. The WiFi was weak enough that I wouldn’t bother with it.

The room was spacious, with a really comfortable bed, and the free WiFi had good speed. Staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located. There was a Jacuzzi in my room, but it wasn’t working. I didn’t raise it with them since I didn’t really need it.

Breakfast was very good, the WiFi excellent, and the staff extremely polite. The rooms were comfortable, though it was noisy on the lower floors. Watch out for the taxes that aren’t mentioned when you arrive. That’s why I rated it Good rather than Very Good.

For a budget stay, it’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The room and washroom were clean, and the location is good, near Walking Street. On the downside, there’s no room service and the hot water didn’t work. Some staff were very helpful, while others were just useless. The service quality has gone downhill over the years.
